Apple IPHONE 3RD Generation Release
After what seamed like a enternity The 3G iPhone is here. After a few clitch's users where able to get there new iPhone 3g's set up. What users don't relize is AT&T doesn't want users activating the Smartphones in the store. AT&T allows during a phone release but the preferred way is to send buyers home to use the Apple iTunes site. I see many reasons for this. One being you might buy some Music, Ring Tones or Movies for The iPhone 3G. Unfortunately the iTunes site was overloaded and went down and was up and down for 3 days..
The rumors are flying about Apple releasing a 3rd generation Smartphone IPhone in mid April 2008
On CNBC's Fast Money it was mentioned the inventory of the Iphone is zero. Sold out across the USA.
A top executive from AT&T spilt the beans a couple week prior to this article by stating the IPhone 3G is in development. AT&T could land up with the short end of the stick once the 3RD Generation SMART IPHONE is released. Iphone was hacked within a week of its release and Apple can increase sales by providing application that work with any carrier that has the intrastructure that can handle the applications. Imagin not having to hack a Iphone or implement the Jail Break software to use the IPhone with any carrier. Apple could put a IPhone in the hands of millions if not 50% of cell phone and Internet users within a short period of time
Apple has a history of reducing inventory for a product prior to a release of a upgrade.After all no manufacturer wants last years goods on the market before a release.
That would simply make there own products competitors. This is going to be huge.
Apple has had some surprises this year announcing SDK developers Kit, Maps +Locate and of course the Macbook Air.
The release of SDK was delayed slightly, but SDK is out and this was probably a well thought out plan to lead up to a release of the 3 RD Generation IPhone. On March 6, Apple CEO Steve Jobs unveiled the iPhone software roadmap, released the iPhone Software Development Kit, and introduced the iPhone Enterprise Beta Program. Watch the presentation now and see what's ahead. It's only a matter of time for developers using SDK would need a platform with more technology to build on.
Between the inventory issues and SDK driving application development this writer believes we will see a 3 Generation IPhone by mid April 2008.
